I read Station Eleven and used it as part of my Master's work (MFA) but haven't watched the show yet (because I am bad at TV.) Always wondered if it was worth it so now I shall have to go bother somebody with an HBOMax login!
There are weeks when the type of story I’m craving is a video game - me too!! Some of today’s game are heavy on story line which is an awesome and really immersive experience.
Hope you are feeling better but if not at least you do know how to take care of yourself. Gloriously. I listened to an interview w RO Kwon when I was working on my last piece. She suffers from terrible anxiety and panic attacks. She said watching horror is one of the things that helps, like it tricks her mind into believing whatever danger is lurking is there in that box, under control.
Isn’t it phenomenal?! Both shows are so well done. I love that you liked The Last of Us, too! I’ve seen lots of polarizing convos about it. I think it’s perfect.
The games are SO good. I was so hooked during my first play-through of each one. The storytelling, the dynamics, the controls. All of it is so well done and I can't believe how good the TV adaptation is. Pedro Pascal is a magician.
I'm sorry you are not feeling well and thank you for telling us. We want you healthy and happy, first and foremost. It takes us all a while to figure out how to take care of ourselves and sadly, we only learn that when we are not feeling our best. Sending so much love and sunshine your way.
I’m sorry to hear you had a hard September Haley, know that across the globe I was in a similar boat with my illness last month! The ups and downs are relentless but at least there’s good films, books and tv?!?! 😉 sending a hug ❤️
We are definitely on the same page with tv and movies but most importantly, I'm so glad you loved A Quiet Place: Day One because I felt the same way! My husband didn't really "get" it as much and so many of my friends were like, "meh." I raved about it for days and still haven't been able to get certain scenes out of my head. And 100% with you on the cat POV. I'm going down with the ship if my cats aren't with me!
And Last of Us? Ughhhhh - it breaks my heart so good. Station Eleven -- stunning.
Loved this

Yes! Do!!
I’ll be singing down the witches road all October! Thank you
Same here! ✨

Totally! I’ve been playing Wylde Flowers this month and the story is so sweet and fun!
I just googled it. looks good!

Okay, I love this. My CBT therapist told me that my zombie games were probably helping my body process excess cortisol and I was all about that 😂✨
The Last of Us!!! What a perfect show. Also, Station Eleven! I think about that show constantly; it's absolutely perfect, as are the costumes!!

It really is perfect! My partner loves the games too. The preview for season 2 looks insane! Can't wait.

Thank you Petya!! ✨ PCOS is a constant battle and I’m learning to ride the waves❤️
Tell Me Lies is also my guilty pleasure —gaaaah why do I love this show?? And Jack White’s son is so good in it.
WAIT! How did I not realize he’s Katy Sagal’s son in real life until right this second?! Their dynamic in season 1 was sooooo intense 🫣
