Sorry, just noticed that autocorrect decided to give you an extra "d" in your name (probably because one of my friends' daughter's name is Hadley, so I type it frequently).
I have my book locked and ready to go, can't wait to dive in. I'm really curious to see how such a short story can deliver all it promises. My copy also includes Herland, which I've never heard about.
By the way Haley, I'd ordered all your fall reads together but since I live in the middle of nowhere, Italy they were delivered only last week. I'm halfway through Passing and annotating like I'm possessed, I hope you don't mind me unleashing all my feelings in your comment section a few weeks too late. Sorry in advance 😅
Well I should be asking for your reading on it! I bet it's soooo fun to read and discuss this story with teenagers. It's such a sad story, but it's told in such an engaging and suspenseful way.
Thanks for the suggestions, Hadley; they were exactly what I was looking for!
Yay! I'm so glad!

Oooooh Herland is so good. It's a fascinating little dystopian feminist allegory. Lots there to explore and unpack!
And I cannot wait for your comments on Passing!!
I’m currently teaching this one to 10th graders! Since I’ve read and taught it a few hundred times, I’m looking forward to your reading of it!

So excited about this; I just recently reread it!
It's SUCH a good one, right?!
I’ve never read this one before! Ooh and the guide themes will help me stay informed as I read, thank you! 💜 💛
