What a lovely post! Gilmore Girls is making me think about fall now. Why isn't it fall already?

All year round, every day it is not fall, I wonder this same question: "Why isn't it fall already?"

❤️❤️❤️

It really is all about the little things, isn't it?

And fully agree with your comment about GG (there's only so much eye-rolling one can do in life)

The reboot was one of the most depressing things I have ever seen on TV...

How did they get it SO wrong? It boggles my mind.

Frankly it’s alarming how wrong they got it.

OMG Gilmore Girls!!! And that scene from Liz's wedding!!! Me and my kids have watched those series' on repeat since my daughter was in high school. Whenever September rolls around it feels like we need to start again...but how BAD was the reboot...? 😞

The reboot was so demoralizing. I can't even have it on in the background. Except for the one scene when Lorelai calls her mom and tells her the story about her dad at the mall. That is the best and truest moment where they got it right. (I also don't totally hate the return of the Life and Death Brigade but it was pretty overwrought with all the Peter Pan references. We get it: Logan never grows up. But neither did Rory.)

Oh yes, that scene with Lorelei is good, and also I love that Emily gets to be an independent woman at the end, with her job and her little house on the beach! :)

Oh yes! and her shark tours!!!! That was very sweet. I liked that they gave her basically the entire reboot to mourn Richard but also to realize how much he had limited the scope of her life.

Thank you for an inspiring post. Upon waking I sometimes go through a list of things I am grateful for—this puts a slight twist on that—the little things. I like that!

The beauty of this piece, I love you!! I loved all of this so much - particularly the mouse, the love felt for medications that save our lives, CBT and especially Gilmore Girls!!! It is also my comfort show, I have been watching it for a decade now and it never tires. I whole heartedly agree that seasons 6,7& the reboot don’t deserve credit. They suck. My favourite episode is ‘They Shot Gilmores, Don’t They?’. For all of Jess’s faults, the crescendo of him and Rory getting together warms my sweet heart. I also love Dean finally loosing it.

I loved reading this. My husband and I are not religious but our kid is 7 now and so curious about CHURCH. It started because of friends but we have been visiting so many churches on our current trip in Istanbul, Bulgaria and now Greece... so it became so REAL for her. She keeps asking us to go in so we can pray. I have been wondering what she says in her prayers - I told her to express gratitude before asking for anything - and today finally asked her.... what did you say in your prayer... and she said, I prayed our next hotel has a pool. 😂☠️

I will DM you about your address, would love to send you a postcard!

I am dying about your child's sudden religious fervor because she wants a hotel pool. Hahahaha may her conversion be short and sweet.

Excited for a postcard!!

I am so sad to report that little Wesley didn't make it. My husband buried him under the apple tree in our yard and we're very sad he didn't pull through.
